Khalid Jehangir calls on Lt Gen Sandhu | KNO

Bharatiya Janata Party spokesman Khalid Jehangir called on Lt General J S Sandhu, General Officer Commanding (GoC) of Srinagar based 15 Corps, here on Thursday.

Jehangir congratulated the GoC for the good work being done by the Army in Jammu and Kashmir, especially in the restive Valley, where Army has carried out successful anti-militancy operations in the recent months.

The BJP spokesman told the GoC that people of J&K are thankful to the Army for launching different people friendly schemes and for taking different initiatives to help the common masses.

Jehangir exuded hope that Army would soon turn entire south Kashmir as militancy free zone so that people could heave a sigh of relief and live a peaceful life. “People of Kashmir are fed up of violence and they want to live in peace. People hope that Army would effectively play its role and restore normalcy in the Valley.”
